“The future of urban and rural areas is smart. But what makes a city or region “smart”? It is the solutions that make life more efficient, attractive and technologically advanced. Solutions that help to master key challenges of the future. A look at research and practice shows that the use of digital tools alone can have a major impact.”

Based on these premises, at the beginning of June took place the Simul⁺ Forum focused on “SMART CITIES, SMART REGIONS”. The aim was to strengthen international networking and to learn from the experiences of those who are very far along the path towards digital and climate-friendly cities and regions.

SaferPlaces participated presenting its digital twin tool for AI-driven flood risk intelligence in urban areas: the SaferPlaces Global Platform.
