The new dataset provides 5-metre resolution pluvial flood maps covering the entire European Union, generated using the SaferPlaces flood intelligence platform and advanced hydrodynamic modelling technologies. The dataset includes multiple rainfall return periods and future climate scenarios, enabling users to assess both current and future flood risks with unprecedented spatial detail.

The dataset is available in two complementary formats:

  • Raster Flood Hazard Maps: Users can access full raster flood maps providing detailed information on flood extent and water depth across the landscape.
  • Building and Asset-Level Flood Metrics: For practical risk assessment applications, SaferPlaces also provides flood depth indicators directly associated with buildings and other spatial assets. Users can retrieve flood depth values for: buildings, infrastructure assets, industrial facilities, utility networks, land parcels and custom geographic locations.
